Cardio workout is something I hate. Strength training always tops cardio anyway. But skipping and boxing I like. I do skipping sometimes. Skipping is also safe on your bones as your ankles act as a shock absorber. It's similar to cycling but better in my opinion. Do your strength training first and then complete your workout with cardio by skipping. I rarely do cardio workouts but when I do I notice the improved tone my body gets. Blood circulation and breathing increase. You can notice a slight improvement in toning as well. Tabata training is reputed to be the most effective at burning fat for the least amount of time. Tabata Training - HIITSkip at a rapid rate for 30 seconds, then switch to a slowed down rate for 30 seconds. Cycle through the faster and slower rates for 5 minutes. Take note of how quickly your increased heart rate recovers to its normal resting heart rate. The quicker your heart beat returns to normal, the fitter you are.
